Clarea Posted May 9, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 9, 2015 Have you personally done it? Not Freedom, but Enchantment, at the same port.
Yorkvillain Posted May 9, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 9, 2015 Technically prohibited, but usually allowed. Lol Bob I was just thinking - How many times over the years do you think you have answered the question "Can I bring a case of water onboard?" Over/under

Clarea Posted May 9, 2015 #9 Share Posted May 9, 2015 We're going to try it. Thank you I suggest you either put it inside a checked bag, or take it in a carry-on bag.
mickev99 Posted May 10, 2015 #10 Share Posted May 10, 2015 I took a case of water on freedom last June. Put it in a suitcase, checked it, then used the suitcase for souvenirs on the way home.
UtahCruise Posted May 10, 2015 #11 Share Posted May 10, 2015 Took a case of unopened water in a checked bag on the Freedom in April. It had a note inside saying it had been cleared.
Beachgirls2011 Posted December 1, 2017 Author #12 Share Posted December 1, 2017 This is a late follow up post but they would not let us take our case of water on board. We "donated" it to the very hot guys working in the bus unloading area.
SRF Posted December 1, 2017 #13 Share Posted December 1, 2017 Some ports will not take the case with a luggage tag, it has to have handles. So put it in a duffel bag with a tag.
DISFANS3 Posted December 1, 2017 #14 Share Posted December 1, 2017 Last RCI cruise for us we took a case of water and just put a bag tag on it drop it off with other bags. Water was first to arrive..
yuvraj Posted December 1, 2017 #15 Share Posted December 1, 2017 We used to take bottles of water on board. We were never challenged. We also bought bottled water at ports to take back on the ship and had no problems there. These days I would consider paying for the package where you get a fixed number of bottles delivered to your cabin on the first day. This is just for convenience, happy to pay the premium. If you are in a suite, you get free bottled water in the suite lounge. Plus, recently they changed Diamond perks to include bottled water during happy hour. Finally, I always request water as my welcome gift in the cabin. Because of these reasons, I haven't needed to pay for bottled water or take it on board the ship. Clarea Posted December 1, 2017 #16 Share Posted December 1, 2017 This is a late follow up post but they would not let us take our case of water on board. We "donated" it to the very hot guys working in the bus unloading area. This has happened to us at Port Canaveral, which is why we put the water in a rolling carry-on suitecase now.
