Exchange change for bus?

Do you need exact change for the bus on Grand Cayman? Thanks!

No, but try to have smallish bills. US$10 or CI$10 or smaller if you are just paying for one or two people. US$20 or CI$25 is fine if you are paying for a larger group.

 

Buses will happily accept US$ or CI$. Pay when you get off. Expect any chance will likely be in CI$.

$2.50 pp, so for a couple, a $5 bill will be just fine.

The buses will accept up to a reasonable US$20 or CI$20 even if you are paying for one person. Of course they won't turn you down if you have a 50 but it is a little undesirable as that will use up most if not all the change that they have.
