CowPrincess Posted May 12, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2015 Upon returning to port , will they let you disembark as soon as they are cleared to catch a return flight 11:21 a.m. from Seattle? The first pax allowed off the ship on HAL are the self-disembarking ones. In our experience it can be a few minutes or up to 30 mins to self-disembark once the ship is cleared. To self-disembark you must be able to manage all your own luggage both getting to the needed deck, and through the terminal. We have not disembarked in Seattle yet, but I've been doing lots of reading. It seems that there will be plenty of taxis available.
Budget Queen Posted May 12, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 12, 2015 Only if you self disembark. HAL uses pier 91. There is a cab line, plus shuttle services, booked in advance.
tangerinebunny Posted May 12, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 12, 2015 If you're truly in a hurry, down to the exit area about half an hour early and sit nearby out of the way. The line starts to form early since others have early flights too.
mapleleaves Posted May 13, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 13, 2015 (edited) you'll be fine with an 11:20am flight, if it's domestic. My standard response is: It's a 30 minute drive from either pier to SeaTac, but give it an hour due to tunnel/road construction, city events, accidents, and the usual congestion. You need to be IN the airport 2 hrs prior to departure for a domestic flight. As long as your ride is pulling away from the pier by 8:20/8:30am, you'll be fine. SeaTac is very busy in the summer, especially on weekends when multiple ships are in port and thousands of passengers are told to be at the airport for noon or later. Keep in mind that you can use any TSA line at SeaTac, not just the one nearest to your gate. So if one line is busy, look at the others; there are usually 3 or 4 open. http://www.portseattle.org/Sea-Tac/Maps-and-Directions/Pages/Security-Checkpoints.aspx There is a taxi line at the pier ... probably $55 from pier 91. A car service would be about $10-$15 more. Seattle Express will run shuttle buses, for $12 pp. There are also flat rate companies like eastsideforhire.com and UBER. which will be closer to $35.
