Shopping close to port

We will be in Grand Cayman in the middle of October and having never been there - what is within walking distance of the port? Is the port close to the downtown area? We're doing the stingray tour and should be back at the port by about 3:30 and that should give us about 90 minutes before HAVING to catch the tender back to the ship.

 

I so hope that we don't have to bypass this stop, this is the one that I'm really looking forward to.

the tender landings put you right on the edge of the main 'downtown' area.

Everything is right there. Make sure you go to the Tortuga rum store and get some rum cake! Have a great time! :)

We have never been to a port that didn't have shopping close by. Most ports herd you through the stores before you can get to the taxis. Grand Cayman is a little different but if you want to shop, it is there.
