Baltimore Cruiser Posted September 13, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2005 We are cruising next year, and I want to book an excursion and am hoping I can fit in time to take in one of the ruins if it close enough to get to from the ship. I don't want to book ahead with this. It will only be if it is affordable for a family of four and again close proximity to the ship. We will be on Grandeur of Seas out of Baltimore. clackey Posted September 14, 2005 #2 Share Posted September 14, 2005 Hola BC, In Coz you can take a taxi to San Gervasio. It is a small ruin near San Miguel. In Costa Maya I have heard of a good tour by Ivan, but I don't know how far it is from the pier. I'll be in Costa in Jan. and will know more when I get back. Sheffie Posted September 14, 2005 #3 Share Posted September 14, 2005 We did Ivan's tour in Costa Maya. You do take a bus ride from the little town to the ruins. I think it took 45 min - 1 hour on the bus. The tour was fabulous. We saw many temples and were with a small group. Here is his website: http://www.chacchobenruins.com/wst_page8.html Have a great cruise!
Gala62 Posted September 20, 2005 #4 Share Posted September 20, 2005 The only problem I can see with David and Ivan's tours is that they will want you to reserve ahead of time. It is well worth it. The bus trip from Mahahual (fishing village 2miles from Costa Maya) is about 1 hour or so. Hope this helps! Gail
