Which side is it best to be on when approaching Gran Canaria and Lanzarote for the best views from a balcony? RCI Sept 2016.

From memory nothing spectacular on either side for gran canaria but did see Dolphins :-)

Most ports it doesn't really matter, it also depends on what you want to see.

 

Also if you don't see it arriving you will departing. And I tend to get more out of the view on departure than on arrival.

Ms. Bucket - as an earlier poster noted, what you do not see in the morning will be in view as you pull out. One variable will be the chance of morning mist obscuring the view as you pull in.
