Cgaope Posted May 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2015 I went to the Dolphin Discovery website to book a dolphin swim for our upcoming cruise. There is a statement on their webpage that a passport is required to travel in Grand Cayman. Is that true? I will have a passport but my 3 children do not. Should I be concerned? Will we be unable to disembark in Grand Cayman?
cb at sea Posted May 28, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) No...cruise passengers do NOT need passports....land vacationers might...but not cruise passengers. You will be just fine. Any ID's needed are for boarding the ship..not for use at ports. You will need to bring the kid's state issued birth certificates to board the ship...leave them in the cabin safe. mrsfuzzmo Posted May 28, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 28, 2015 You do need a passport to fly into Grand Cayman, but if you are not required to have one for your cruise (most from the US do not) then you'll be fine. They don't require a passport to disembark the ship at GC.
