Oasis Stateroom help

Recommended Posts

We have 11719 booked on an upcoming cruise which was the furthest B2 aft. But just curious---what is the difference in the B1 and B2?

Most of the B1s hold more than two guests.

We were just on Deck 7, which was a bit inconvenient because you need to go to either Deck 6 or 8 to cross from port to starboard. We'be been twice on Oasis and I think anything between decks 8 and 10 would be ideal. If you are sensitive to cigarette smoke avoid dining on Deck 4 as the casino is right across from the MDR - yuk!

I have to disagree with other posters about staying away from deck 14, we stayed in room 14278 D6 Balcony Stateroom, absolutely no noise from any pools ever, nothing no noise. So if you are looking to stay at a higher deck I would go for it. Our room was also close enough to the elevators and once you got to the deck you needed you could walk in either direction. We loved every minute of our cruise.

We're looking at booking a ocean view balcony cabin on deck 8 based on the comments here. We've never cruised the Oasis class. Is there anything else we should consider?

Thanks for any suggestions.

I would take advantage of the Pre-Cruise Planner, and make all your entertainment reservations.

LOL. I just moved my cabin from Deck 12 on the Harmony in March 2017 to Deck 6 because I realized: "I am going to have to go up or down a few floors for coffee...that has to change." I get where DW is coming from!

LOL when it comes down to having coffee as the most important part of the cabin selection. I booked 12th deck on Oasis and it's a good thing that I hate coffee so I don't have to worry about small details like that.

Decks 10 and 11 will be fine, even 12 would be fine, but definitely avoid 14 because of noise from the pool deck. We were just on the Oasis and our cabin was on deck 12. No complaints! I thought the location was great!

We loved our deck #6 mid-ship starboard location...very convenient to everything.

Thanks for information. My niece and I are on deck 12 we have a balcony.

Another question: out TA is recommending we book a D5 on 12 rather than a balcony cabin on Deck 8.

I´m still struggling with the Deck 12 or Deck 8. Any other opinions?

Thanks.

The D5 on deck 12 is an ocean view balcony cabin. What category are you looking at on Deck 8? (there are ocean view, boardwalk & central park balconies) If the Deck 8 balcony is a boardwalk or central park balcony then we would choose the D5 on deck 12. If the Deck 8 is also Ocean view then we would choose the Deck 8 Ocean view.

The Deck 8 is also an Ocean View balcony. So I guess the debate is whether we want to be closer to the upper deck activities or the lower deck activities.

Thanks.

Deck 8 is the same deck as Central Park, which has Park Cafe, so can be very convenient for breakfast and lunch.

We have booked our first Oasis cruise for December. We chose deck 8 cb of Central Park and it was close whether going to MDR or up to windjammer or the pools. I also have vertigo issues, so the lower floor helps a lot with my issue. I would, take deck 8 ocean view balcony over deck 12...like I said easy access with elevators or stairs.

I am going on Oasis in December too. It will be my first time going on an Oasis class ship. Which date? Mine is on the 5th. I booked the Boardwalk balcony cabin on 12th deck because I want to be close to the sky deck where pool and outdoor activities are. That's where I will be spending most of time up there.

We have rooms on deck 14. Never been up that high. Now I am worried I shouldn't of booked those rooms. Any one else have anything good to say about it?

It's only one deck to the pool and Solarium.

I personally prefer lower balcony rooms when ocean view, I feel safer, it is "more comfortable", but that's just me. Once I moved to a high rise apartment building and said, oh no, I can't do this, and had the movers move everything all over again, down a few flights. Funny now, but not then.

I have sailed Oasis twice so far and I have been on Deck 12 and Deck 8. I prefer Deck 8 AFT because of proximity to Central Park, etc. We frequented Park Cafe for lunch and it was so much easier bringing the food back for my DW so we could enjoy our balcony without waiting for elevators, etc. Like others have said, just avoid Deck 14 and you'll be fine.

We like to stay on a deck between other passenger decks (e.g., not under the WJ or the pool deck). We usually like decks 8 or 9 on a hump, but this next time we're on deck 6, right behind the Dog House! I'm hoping it's quiet there, but we just booked so we were limited to our choices. A few years ago and booked Explorer fairly last minute and got a cabin on deck 6, aft. We really liked it! Easy to get to the Promenade, the theater and casino. We usually use the elevators to go up (old, bad knees), but can use the stairs to go down a few decks.

Enjoy Oasis -- we love that class ship!

You will only hear dogs barking.
