Walking around Basseterre?

Making our first stop at St Kitts at the end of an extended trip late this fall. We will most likely want to just explore the town, stopping for shopping, drinks and snacks at interesting places. We've had a blast doing that in San Juan. Is Basseterre large enough to do that?

There are many interesting places to see in Basseterre. It is about 500 yards from the end of the pier to the "Circus", the busy part of town. There are shops, restaurants and historical places to visit in the town.

Great information....I am usually pretty good at finding those posts....not sure how I missed that one. I will report back on how our day went. We are going in November. Having to plan early as it is the last leg of a trip starting in July.

We are not cruisers but we will be in St Kitts & Nevis for a week in early November. Check on Trip Advisor for ideas on what to see or do.

We ended up grabbing a taxi tour to two beaches from the pier. Fun day!

Which beaches and what did you think of them? We will be there in Early March and can't decide on what to do. Leaning toward a beach as the shopping area sounds lame. Comments???????

I don't think I ever knew the names of the beaches. We walked off the ship and joined a local taxi group. The beaches were good
