Between Rio and Buenos Aries

Can you tell me what local transportation options are available at the ports we stop at between Rio and Buenos Aries. We'll be snorkeling for the most part. Will feet suffice to get from the port. What are the fares in Reals?

 

At Ilha Grande, is the cruise port at Vila do Abraão?

 

In Sao Paulo, is there an all-day fare on the buses? And is there a bus near the port?

 

Can one rent bicycles at ports in Uruguay?

The metro map is easy enough to follow and get around on, but the bus routes are confusing. Taxis are not very expensive and you would probably be more comfortable/relaxed using them to get around within the city.

You'd take a taxi from the port to the bus station in Santos. (about R$15)

 

There is bus service (R$20) from the rodoviaria (bus station) in Santos (the port city) into Jabaquara station in Sao Paulo.

The cruise company usually also has a bus option.

Once in the city:

from Jabaquara to Avenida Paulista (if that is where you choose to look around or stay). Take the blue line metro (R$3), direction Tucuruvi, then at Ana Rosa Station change to the green line, direction Vila Madalena, and descend at Brigadeiro, Trianon-MASP or Consolação station.

Montevideo Highlights and Vineyard 6.5 hrs

At Buenos Aires, you could walk from the port terminal to places of interest in the city, but you would go through a bad area for a while.
