Spa on Noordam

Could someone help me understand how the spa works? Can anyone go into the spa and use the whirlpool and steam rooms or do you have to buy a service to do that? Thanks!

You need to either buy a day pass or a length of cruise pass.

5* Mariners are supposed to get 1 free day per cruise. Sometimes you have to make the receptionist understand that, though.

I have also been told to come back when the place was less crowded (with paying customers).

WOW ... One would think that, as a 5-star Mariner, you have paid HAL more $$$ than anyone currently in the thermal suite. That is a terrible response.

It's not like the manager SAID "...with paying customers." The ceramic beds, which is what I was going for, were full. There may have been others (paying customers) waiting to use them, too, as there were people in the hot tub (it wasn't one of the larger ships) who got there before I did.
