FTTF on Breeze Question

Haven't cruised on Carnival in long time and recently booked the Breeze this fall. Just read up on the FTTF as its new to me and wanted to get opinion on if its worth it for the price for the Breeze out of Miami. Will have two staterooms with three kids and like the idea of not waiting but I understand that this will also be a premier (something like that) casino cruise which gets to board before FTTF also. Wondering if by the time they get to FTTF there will not be that many left anyway to board. Probably will arrive at port by 1130 or 12. I read you get a special line at guest services and first numbers for disembarking but will that matter also if you have higher status and casino in front of you.

Are there tender ports? That is the only reason I would get it, based on what you have said so far. One perk is that you get to go straight to your room as soon as you board.

On 2nd thought, if you get to the port that late, you will be able to skip most of the lines and get on the ship quicker.

We got off the Breeze a week ago and had FTTF for our two cabins. It was our first time for both. Based on our experience, I wouldn't buy FTTF for Breeze out of Miami.

Embarkation was a MESS! Worst ever. CCL had no crowd control at all and everyone was blocking/jumping the line. Also, we got on so late (I still don't know why people were still getting OFF the ship at 11:30), all the rooms were ready within about 15 minutes of boarding the ship, anyway.

Only one tender port and it was pouring rain, so that didn't matter. We canceled our excursion as did many others. We did go ashore but timing wasn't an issue.

The FTTF guest services line did come in handy once. Otherwise, both lines seemed about the same. Occasionally, the FTTF was actually longer.

You can use FTTF for priority specialty restaurant reservations. We had already booked our steakhouse before we purchased FTTF so it didn't matter.

Disembarkation was a BREEZE! We were off the ship and through customs very quickly, even with the family in front of us giving the customs officer fits. However, there were people on our cruise without FTTF who were off the ship just 15 minutes after we were.

So...it didn't work very well for us. Not sure if it was Miami or the Breeze or just luck of the draw that trip.

No tender ports with this one as its a 8 day southern route. I have the any time dining so can you use FTTF for priority reservations at the specialty restaurants?

Yes, you can use FTTF to get priority reservations at the specialty restaurants, but it won't do you any good for anytime dining. Just want to make sure you don't think you'll get priority at anytime dining.

Thanks for all the advice. Doesn't sound like it would be worth it. Also seems like a better idea to get to the port around 12 or 1230 to skip all the mess. Have there been cases where the rooms were ready before 100pm (Without FTTF). I don't think I have been on a cruise yet where rooms were ready before 100 or 130pm.

We did FTTF on the Splendor out of Miami and just booked it with our cruise on the Breeze next weekend out of Miami. If you like being the first on and off the ship with your bags waiting for you, its worth it. Just being able to board with the diamond and platinum members makes it a value for us.

How do the porters know your FTTF? Do you show them boarding pass or something? And once they know do they label your bags a special way? Thanks for the help!

I printed my luggage tags already for August cruise and they have the FTTF LOGO on them and a big F 2 F printed on them.

I will say it on the tags for your luggage that you print out from Carnival and then the porters will attach a bright orange tag, like the one pictured below to make sure it's spotted. You can always make sure that the porter knows to mark the bags accordingly, if you'd like.

so.. we are 11 ladies on a girls cruise in a few months... We have three cabins... mine is with Platinum cruisers, both the other cabins are not, but have purchased FTTF. On my last cruise, there was a separate lounge for Platinum and Diamonds, and FTTF had to wait until Platinum and Diamonds went first to board. I have been told that it has been changed in Miami. and that now, Platinum, diamond and Fttf are all in the same lounge to checkin and are seated all together. Can someone tell me how this works now? The reason i am asking is our friends in the other cabins and us want to get our embarkation pics taken together.. and just wondering if we board together...

Diamond and Platinum have their own lounge. FTTF is in with "general" boarding, but will be able to board immediately after Diamond and Platinum and Casino.

I guess your friends should just wait and board with you.

Im hoping to get FTTF for January Breeze.

Have a great sailing.

I had FTTF on the Sunshine and my bags were late, just like everyone else's. I thought one bag was lost it took so long for it to arrive at the room. It wasn't lost but it took until 5-6 pm for them to bring it. I don't think FTTF works very well with the luggage delivery. It seems more of a perk for other things such as having the room ready when you board, customer service inquiry priority, priority tendering and reservations. We don't have it for our upcoming Breeze cruise. I have read that there is really no need for FTTF on this trip out of Miami so if they become available I may not purchase it this time.

Not having your luggage until that late is extremely disappointing, FTTF or not. Was there a reason it took so long. Does baggage usually come so late? One of my main reasons for wanting FTTF for our January Breeze cruise is in hopes of getting my luggage faster. I cant begin to relax and unwind until everything is pit away.

Thank you.
