Suz-OH Posted June 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2015 New to posting; kindly over-L(.)(.)K short-comings! Cruising with OAT/Grand Circle on Artemis later in 2015 to Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina. Good sleep ensures that this long-awaited dream trip will be more enjoyable. Does anyone have recent experience with Artemis Cabin 301 - so close to the bow? How does it the "ride" the sea? Are the bunks "fold down"? How about the pillows? Should I bring my own feather pillow from home? Appreciate your time!
orchestrapal Posted June 24, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 24, 2015 You will not get replies on CC for these spacifics for a little known ship and a company that is not well represented by CC cruisers. CALL the company with your questions.
Suz-OH Posted June 26, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted June 26, 2015 No reply from GCT on pillow question. Hopefully they are re-considering the issue. With over 4-months of notice on this request, one could hope for a satisfactory resolution. Though I cannot be the first to make such a request! Would have to be a policy change on their part - "feather pillows available on first come basis..." Have read on CC that many cruisers travel with their pillows to ensure a good-nights' sleep. Nothing could ruin a vacation faster than to be to be tired & grumpy from a sustained lack of sleep. Appreciate your time in responding. Will hope for the best! :)
CPT Trips Posted August 12, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 12, 2015 Well, it was about two years ago, but the pillows were just fine. Beds are typical cruise ship, you can have them set up apart or together. Not at all the same style GCT has on their river ships. If there are rough seas, the whole boat will be bouncing, so cabin location will not be an issue. We had three nights with high winds and rough seas. We had 302, the mirror image of 301, no problem with the cabin at all. It's a great trip!
