Rare Banditswife Posted June 23, 2015 #26 Share Posted June 23, 2015 Shower please! I have no desire to wallow in my own filth. :) Well this is why I like the idea of a shower/tub combo- you can soak in your own filth, then stand up & rinse it off in the shower. Himself Posted June 24, 2015 #28 Share Posted June 24, 2015 We recently had combined bath/shower and separate shower in a Signature Suite on the Zuiderdam. In 22 days we did not use the bath combo at all. Just wondering how many people prefer the combo or would just prefer a shower stall. As I am getting older (70+) I am very apprehensive climbing over the bath edge to shower. I know it is a very personal thing but I would definitely prefer a larger bathroom with just the shower. I have not had a bath in over 50 years. I always shower.
CruisingSince2012 Posted June 24, 2015 #29 Share Posted June 24, 2015 I don't just prefer a shower stall - I need one. Part of a huge remodeling job at home was replacing a tub with a walk-in shower. A big reason for that: it is unsafe to stand on smooth ceramic. Even with a 24-inch bar on the wall, I do not feel comfortable in a tub. Of course the easier entry/exit is another reason I prefer walk-in showers. That said, I don't like the size of walk-in showers (WIS) if cabin floor plans for a ship are accurate. It would be nice if they could be a little bigger.
