dgsea Posted June 24, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 24, 2015 I am sailing on the Volendam in two weeks. Does any one know if there are exercise DVDs to borrow, or if I brought my own portable player and dvd is there somewhere to plug them in so that I can get my exercise in? Or are there classes for me to take on board? Thanks for any help.
Rare TiogaCruiser Posted June 24, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 24, 2015 (edited) SYou can use your cabin if there is enough room. All ships have a gym. There is a section used for classes (yoga, mat Pilates) and classes which you can purchase and some half hour ones you can join for free. How good they are depends on the instructor. I have found the gyms to be well provisioned with free weights, weight machines, cardio equipment and even Bosus and balls. The Reformer on veendam is no longer there :( and I suspect they have disappeared from other ships as well. (Volendam had one when we were on her) Edited June 24, 2015 by TiogaCruiser
Krazy Kruizers Posted June 24, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 24, 2015 The plugs in the gym are for the instructors and their tapes they use for classes. There are Pilate classes, yoga classes, spinning classes that are $12 each session. The free classes are mainly for beginners.
