McCrews Posted June 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2015 We are doing an Alaska cruise in early September from Seattle as a 40th anniversary present to ourselves. As we have never been within 2000 miles of Seattle before we have to arrive a few days early and see what life on the west coast is all about! We like the idea of staying within walking distance of Pike Place Market and after much research decided to spring the extra money for Inn On The Market only to find out it was fully booked the dates we wanted - Sept 6th to 8th. Any suggestions for a good mid-priced hotel in that area would be appreciated.
CruiserBruce Posted June 28, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2015 If you look on the West Coast Departures board, here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=413 You will find Seattle covered more thoroughly, and several threads on Seattle hotels. Many thanks - I just joined a couple of days ago and have been overwhelmed by the amount of info available and although have done lots of exploring I didn't find that board. It is a rainy day here today - perfect to spend lots of time searching and reading and booking a hotel.
nojoke Posted July 31, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 31, 2015 We stayed at the Mayflower a couple of years ago. Perfect location...near Pike Mkt. and the Monorail. We booked directly with the hotel.
gfkcruiser Posted December 21, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 21, 2015 I stayed at the Mayflower in May of this year. Best price in downtown Seattle. Great location. Took light rail from seatac. Walked to public market and waterfront.
Semi Retired Posted January 25, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) We stayed at LaQuinta Inn on 8th Ave, near spaceneedle where you can take the monorail to downtown and pike Place Market. This hotel has free hot breakfast and a shuttle service to port pier (for a charge) Edited January 25, 2016 by Semi Retired
