golfntob Posted June 30, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2015 Hi, My kids, 13 & 18, want to do a dolphin encounter. I see several available thru carnival. Does anyone have any tips or recs to share on good ones? Thank you!
Rare crewsweeper Posted June 30, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2015 Haven't done this. No interest. But from what I've heard. Chankanaab Park's Dolphin Discovery is a great excursion if you wish to swim with the dolphins. Chank is south of Puerta Maya. Dolphinaris is another one. It's between the southern cruise docks and downtown. They have several locations on the mainland as well as in Cozumel. If I were you, I'd google both, email them to 1)see if they take cruisers without having to go through the cruise line excursion and 2) what each of their programs offer (Chank's $ may or may not include park admission for example). Then take the one that offers your children the most time with the dolphins or other amenities they might be looking for.

Rare mitsugirly Posted July 5, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 5, 2015 Our family has done Dolphin Discovery at Chankanaab (twice) and loved it both times. Most people on here recommend it. However, since you are on Carnival, they do have a contract with them and they don't allow Carnival cruisers to book directly with them and must book using the cruise line excursion (which is gonna cost you your first born child)...just saying. Most people around here say they book saying they are coming in on another ship that's in port and don't flash their Carnival beach towels at them when they walk in. ;)
