Drink package pricing on a TA

Does anyone know how they price the drink packages on a TA leaving from Barcelona. I know there is a VAT tax, but do they apply to everyday, even those days on open seas?

I don't know about VAT on drink packages, but we have had no VAT at all on any other ship purchases on our TAs from Barcelona.

Thanks, Bob. Just curious. When I looked at the replenish which is $19 on other ships, it is listed at $22 or $23 on the Harmony. They say call, but nobody has any info yet. Thought it might be VAT

Things could have changed since out last TA. You could always wait until you are onboard to buy the package. Maybe if you wait a couple of days, you will be out of the VAT zone.

10% VAT on the Net figure of the package before gratuities is my experience. And its for all days of the cruise. So you have the net price + VAT 10% + gratuities.

$19 + 18% gratuity = $22.42. I think that THAT is what you are seeing.
