Kohara Posted July 7, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 7, 2015 I want to take the ferry, but I'm not interested in getting off. So my question is will they allow you to stay on until they leave to go back to Seattle? Do I have to get off and re board for ticket reasons? Everyone has to get off and can then re-board.:)
mapleleaves Posted July 8, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2015 you have to re-board, but you're in the terminal not waiting outside in the wind or rain for 15 minutes. :) I assume you'll be a walk-on pax to Bainbridge or Bremerton, so you only pay the $8 in Seattle, not when you re-board for the return trip. Glaciers Posted July 8, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 8, 2015 If you plan on going to Bainbridge Island it’s a nice area for a stroll through town and possibly lunch. If you are just looking to get out in Elliott Bay another option is the Water Taxi that goes across the bay to Seacrest Park in West Seattle. Casagordita Posted July 8, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 8, 2015 You have to get off--it's a security thing (they do a sweep through the boat at each end point, before they let anybody back on for the return). You can hang around the terminal for a few minutes and get right back on the dame boat for the return, if you like.
