Carnival robes

I read that person's post as well, and it's very likely that they just missed putting clean robes in the cabin when they were getting it ready. I'm sure it happens. What that person never said is if she ever bothered to ask for them. I'm guessing she didn't. Sounded like someone who looks for things to complain about.

Those robes look great on me.

I wear one over my Speedo when I go to the deck party and when I take it off to show my Speedo, everyone pleads with me to put the robe back on.

It must look that good on me

Too funny. Who has time to wear robes on a cruise anyhow except for Hefner of course.

I never wear them but I find comfort in knowing they are hanging in the closet.

I always wear a robe getting out of the shower because I don't like to put on clothes until I'm totally dry and I don't want to sit putting on my makeup totally naked. So robes in the room save me having to bring a rope with me.

DH and I were trying to remember if we had ever worn the robes and we have on one cruise. We did a Canadian cruise a few years ago and it was damp and freezing much of the trip - unseasonably so, even for Canada! A lot of people were using the robes as jackets any time the sun went down to try to stay warm.

Honestly, I'd rather have the extra space in the closet but have the robes available upon request.

Sorry, I just have to ask. How do you wear a rope so you don't feel naked? :p;)

Would have been a better retort if I had not already correctly typed robes twice! I'm assuming everybody's voice to text software does this...

Is there any truth to the rumor that robes are no longer in your rooms

Hi Taecruise :)

It is not even a rumor, but simply a complaint made by one particular member.

I remember reading that post also or (reply within a post) in regards to somone not receiving 2 robes or clean robes in their stateroom as another member also stated in your post here.

And to make the rumor worse, they did not even inquire about it to their cabin steward.

Just recently on a 14-day B2B voyage aboard the Breeze. Two robes in the cabin and the robes were replaced with two new robes on turnaround day...

Have a wonderful day!

:)

Same here. I wore my robe / speedo to breakfast in the mdr.. no problems. Got turned away at dinner, but ate in the lido buffet. Got some mustard and beer stains on it. Going to try going to the casino this way on my next cruise.

There are two hooks on the back of the bathroom door. If you read the robe instructions in the cabin manual you will find that they are supposed to be taken out of the closet and hung on the hooks. It also explains that the robe must be worn when enjoying your morning coffee on the balcony watching the sunrise. And, they are required attire for the MDR on elegant nights if you have forgotten to rent a tux or ball gown. And finally they are to be used upon all port entries for flashing the residents or the passengers on other cruise ships docked across from you. However, you cannot take them off the ship when the local police take you to jail. Happy days.
