Harvest Caye?

Our first NCL cruise, on Jade, takes place beginning April 2, 2016. We have been to Belize on RCCL, did the cave tubing, but have not been to Harvest Caye. Is there a beach option at this stop? I don't see anything in the NCL excursions, but could one find a beach on their own?

It is still being built so no one has been there yet.

It's a private island and it is intended as a beach day. There will be some kind of shuttle boat to the mainland, but you wouldn't be able to do cave tubing because you wouldn't have enough time.

Thank you both for the information about Harvest Caye. Did not know it was a private island in the making. We will see if it is completed in time for our cruise.

Since you're cruising in April it should be finished since NCL says it will be finished in mid-February. But I've never known a construction project to finish on time yet.

I think it has already been bumped out from an original anticipated completion date of November.

 

We are scheduled for May. I really hope it is done.

We were supposed to stop there in late January but got changed to Belize City. I was looking forward to seeing it. Oh well, maybe next time.
