stev5138 Posted July 10, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 10, 2015 Is there a web site available that shows all unbooked cabins on a particular sailing?
Cruise, J.D. Posted July 10, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 10, 2015 Use a large Internet based TA and do mock bookings. We can't give specific names here . . .
okgirl Posted July 10, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 10, 2015 Even large internet based agencies don't see all available cabins. Only the Carnival reps can see that.
glentally Posted August 19, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 19, 2015 (edited) Even large internet based agencies don't see all available cabins. Only the Carnival reps can see that. We are sailing Dec 13th - cruising ( kind of) a week before Christmas is probably not prime time. Carnival called me saying they have a super rate. I hope the call tomorrow is good news with a good price on the upgrade of a interior to a balcony! $100 would be awesome. Canadian_J Posted August 20, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 20, 2015 Even large internet based agencies don't see all available cabins. Only the Carnival reps can see that. Exactly. You can get a bit of an idea, but really only if it's nearly full and cabins are no longer available. Otherwise entire decks can be available, but you'll only see some of the cabins on the booking sites. As you can imagine, this kind of information is not something you want the public and other companies to just be able to tap into.
AdGuyMG Posted August 20, 2015 #6 Share Posted August 20, 2015 Checking any website online also doesn't take into account the dozens of IS OV BL Guarantee bookings where the cabins have not yet been assigned.
ready2cruzagain Posted August 20, 2015 #7 Share Posted August 20, 2015 Try googling the words cruise and fish. They give a percentage. Not sure how accurate though.
cruising maniac Posted August 20, 2015 #8 Share Posted August 20, 2015 Make sure when you do a mock booking that you check for cabins for 2 and cabins for 4. That will give you a more accurate total. I have noticed that they very rarely show more than 10 cabins available.
guxu Posted August 20, 2015 #9 Share Posted August 20, 2015 Why do a mock booking on internet TA's site while you can do the same on carnival.com?

Must be something new.:) Bill
Towel Critter Posted August 20, 2015 #11 Share Posted August 20, 2015 I'm not sure an accurate reading can be made. Even Carnival doesn't show all available rooms at all times, except for possibly the last week or so before the sail date. I think it's probably rare for Carnival to sail without a full, or mostly full, ship though. If you assume the ship will be very near capacity, you will be right most of the time. S.S.Oceanlover Posted August 20, 2015 #13 Share Posted August 20, 2015 Cabins aren't held back from being booked, but they are only displayed up to 10 at a time per category. Just like on the Carnival.com website. Thank you for the reply. I was questioning post #3 It says only CCL reps can see all the rooms available. In all the years I have cruised i have never had a TA not book a room I wanted even if it wasn't one of the 10 listed on their website. sfaaa Posted August 20, 2015 #14 Share Posted August 20, 2015 Watching the rate is another indication. If it keeps going up, it's likely a pretty full ship.
