I am wondering if POA gives out lei upon embarkation?

On one of our cruises we got shell leis, I'm not sure the lei in the picture are real or paper.

If you flying into Honolulu they sell them in the luggage area there will a mobile booth.

 

They have from cheap to really exotic flower ones.

Women receive a flower lei, men receive a shell lei... then you get in line for the pre-boarding photo.

This also occurred for us in April.

The flower lei is made of fresh flowers and they smell wonderful :).

My DH and boys were somewhat disappointed they didn't get flower leis, though they got them at our pre-cruise hotel. The shells are nice in that you can bring them home as a souvenir.

Have only done one POA cruise, but yes, everyone seemed to be getting one prior to getting to the guest services desk to register. You get lei'd, get a picture taken and then go to the desk.
