Hotel in Harwich

We are flying in to Heathrow to board a cruise the following day & need to know:

How to get to Harwich from Heathrow,

Good hotel to stay in for the night. Cany anybody come up with suggestions. the month is August

I think your best bet is to buy the ship's transfer from the airport. Otherwise, you can take a train to the Liverpool station and switch trains for the "cruise train" to Harwich. This is a lot more hassle than the ship's transfer but it's cheaper.

What sort of hotel are you looking for? And how much are you prepared to spend? And do you want to stay that night in London, or are you keen to get out to the Harwich area as soon as you arrive in the UK, as the title of your post suggests?

 

Please note that the train goes from Liverpool Street Station in London. If you ask to go to "Liverpool station", you'll get sent hundreds of miles away.
