LAC2 Posted July 24, 2015 #32 Share Posted July 24, 2015 The responses from the reviews will be copied to a spreadsheet located at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iJDFCtotsFNUvSNFzZ3LXomW95WX7R0svO7JhGRBvpo/edit?usp=sharing. You will be able to filter the data to view it many different ways. Sorry, but when I open the link the only thing I see is a copy of the initial post describing what the spreadsheet will be. There is no cabin information. Am I doing something wrong?
srice Posted July 24, 2015 Author #33 Share Posted July 24, 2015 (edited) Sorry, but when I open the link the only thing I see is a copy of the initial post describing what the spreadsheet will be. There is no cabin information. Am I doing something wrong? Hmmmm. Try this link https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iJDFCtotsFNUvSNFzZ3LXomW95WX7R0svO7JhGRBvpo/edit?usp=sharing Wait for the spreadsheet to load then look for the tabs at the bottom. The tab you want is "Princess Cabin Compilation". You can e-mail me at PrincessCabinComp@gmail.com if that doesn't work. JAF1 Posted July 25, 2015 #34 Share Posted July 25, 2015 Ship Island Princess Class Panamax (designed for the Panama Canal) Deck Baha Stateroom # B202 Category MY Port/Starboard/Bow/Stern Port Connects With Cabin # No Accessible No Quiet Yes Balcony Size N/A View Normal Privacy Issues None Wind N/A Soot N/A Problems A few vibrations depending on manoeuvres in and out of port but nothing very much. However, July 2015 the bath (this is a mini suite) is in a very poor condition and looks more like a 1* than 5*. Comments This mini suite is immediately under the bridge and at the end of the corridor so a bit of a walk to the stairs/lift. The balcony space is in the room therefore gives plenty of space at the seating end of the cabin. As we were under the bridge so were not going to have anyone looking in through the window we were able to leave the net curtains open during the day so always could see where we were. The noise & juddering when leaving/arriving at a port was alarming to start with but we quickly got used to it & otherwise quiet. The 'guest bathroom' consisted of toilet and hand basin which was very useful.

No Wet Bar; small fridge that did not accommodate large bottles. Plenty of storage. Only a washbasin in the guest bathroom - no toilet. Lovely large balcony, part covered, but with Soot issues. We had noticed soot deposits, although comparatively minor, right from our first day at sea. However, the deposits at Naples were excessive and it took the room steward most of the day to clean (not nice for him). Great view from the stern. sashas_mom Posted August 21, 2015 #41 Share Posted August 21, 2015 This is a very helpful thread. I was wondering if you could add another description? Bed Orientation for window and obstructed cabins. I took a survey a while back and had a lot of interest in this subject. It would be nice to know if you have a window or obstructed cabin if the bed was against the wall or under the window. It helped me choose a cabin based on info I gathered. All the pictures Princess uses show bed under window but that is not accurate in the majority of cabins on most ships. It is also helpful to know if bunk beds are obtrusive as I learned many are. If you would like the info I gathered I'd be happy to email it to you. Thank you.

RetiredNTraveling Posted August 25, 2015 #46 Share Posted August 25, 2015 (edited) Cabin Review by RetiredNTraveling! Ship: Golden Princess, Hawaii Class: Grand-Class NP Deck: Sun Deck 15 Stateroom #S703 Category: Penthouse Suite Port/Starboard/Bow/Stern: Starboard Aft portion. We liked it! Connects With Cabin #None Accessible: No! Quiet: Most of the time! Watch out for early morning activity on the deck above. Rearrangement of chairs from the night before. I was awake anyway and the wife slept through it. Balcony Size: Nice but a little narrow. View: Fantastic, high up with good line of sight. Privacy Issues: None! Wind: Some wind but nothing compared to the plains of Oklahoma Soot: None! Problems: The biggest issue was the limited # of elevators that when to the 15 Deck. Only 2 elevators and they were also the ones that went to Skywalkers and it was difficult at time to get one. A couple of time with the toilet not flushing properly. Always fixed immediately. Comments: This was also a fantastic suite and we would recommend it. Perfect for cruise to Hawaii! Photos: Yes, attached.
