jennifer1t Posted July 16, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 16, 2015 My husband is 6'8 and we want to go kayaking through a carnival excursion. He can pull off the weight limit, I'm worried about his height. Does anyone know where I can find the height restrictions to the kayaking and stingray city sandbar carnival excursion in grand cayman? Or does anyone have any personal experiences with that excursion? TIA Jennifer
Capt_BJ Posted July 21, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 21, 2015 (edited) I'm not aware of any height restriction on either of these excursions ..... I work at a place that does kayak tours and for us if weight is OK height is not an issue altho he MIGHT want to be aware that a tall person can have a higher center of gravity making the kayak a bit less stable . . . (for us, a larger person is sometimes put alone in a two person boat) AND a person that big MIGHT need to be concerned about finding rental equipment that fits, like life jacket (probably required on the kayak) and fins (not required for stingray city but often provided) what's his shoe size? caribsun Posted July 22, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 22, 2015 Many kayak tours use the sit on top model which are safer for 1st time users.
