ryano Posted July 16, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 16, 2015 (edited) Bob, doesn't Freedom now have Izumi as well? No Izumi on Freedom. There was a rumor of one being added back before the dry dock but it didnt happen :( Edited July 16, 2015 by ryano
Clarea Posted July 16, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 16, 2015 Bob, doesn't Freedom now have Izumi as well? No, for whatever reason, they did not put in Izumi up in the Viking Crown area like they have done on Voyager class ships.
njmomof2 Posted July 16, 2015 #6 Share Posted July 16, 2015 (edited) Well that's a bummer. I thought they had, and I've been talking it up to my older son as an option for him and his friends to try for dinner one night. I know they have sushi at Jade, but hoped for this. My sister just got home from 12 nights on Vision in the Med and they really enjoyed it. Oh well, guess I'll have to rethink it. ETA: On the bright side, however, is Sabor. Now that I'm looking forward to trying. Edited July 16, 2015 by njmomof2
RCCLNYMETS41 Posted July 16, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted July 16, 2015 Clarea, I'm a little confused... "You board on the outside promenade, deck 4." I thought the royal promenade is deck 5. Is the outside promenade different?

Is the outside promenade different? Deck 5 = Royal Promenade Deck 4 is the outside Promenade deck. Royal doesn't really call it that though. Thats the technical name of the outside decks that circle most or all of the ship or at least run down both sides on ALL cruise ships :)

RCCLNYMETS41 Posted July 16, 2015 Author #10 Share Posted July 16, 2015 OK, so when you enter on deck 4, are you entering between the schooner bar & focus? or where do you get in to the ship?
Clarea Posted July 16, 2015 #11 Share Posted July 16, 2015 OK, so when you enter on deck 4, are you entering between the schooner bar & focus? or where do you get in to the ship? You would enter the ship at either the forward or aft centrum. Depends on how they have things set up.

Freedom should have a safe in ALL cabins. Room service surcharge is from midnight to 5am. 3.95 per order Cabins will have a hair dryer, small bars of soap and a shampoo dispenser in the shower. RCCLNYMETS41 Posted July 16, 2015 Author #14 Share Posted July 16, 2015 You guys are a wealth of information..thank you. More questions to come... What shows are currently on board Freedom? Do they still do the basic Welcome Aboard & last evening show (I like when they sing "Until We Meet Again")

Do they still do the basic Welcome Aboard & last evening show (I like when they sing "Until We Meet Again") Royal has abandoned the old welcome aboard ("Voyage to Adventure") and farewell numbers. They have new ones now, but it's the same concept of the singers and dancers doing a short number. Freedom has a production show called Marquee, and many times the Drew Thomas magic show. There are other headliners and another production show.
RCCLNYMETS41 Posted July 16, 2015 Author #16 Share Posted July 16, 2015 Can you check your SeaPass account on the stateroom TV? Does the Freedom have the computerized screens around the ship to give you directions & other stuff like on the Allure?

Yes you can check your account on your tv. I assume they have the computerized screens around the ship since she just got out of dry dock a few months ago

The shampoo and soap mixture comes out of a wall container. If you need a half decent shampoo and conditioner bring your own.
