Costa or Princess?

My husband and I have been on 2 Princess cruises which we loved. But we'd like to try something different.

Have you been on both of these lines? :rolleyes: Which did you prefer and why, please?

Costa is a much more European experience because there are more foreign passengers on board. But for more details it would be helpful to know whether you're comparing a Caribbean cruise or European cruise, for your Costa vs Princess question.

Caribbean.

 

We look forward to taking a European cruise sometime, but not this year. Our Princess cruises were Eastern and Western Caribbean....we were interested in the Southern Caribbean this time.

together we DW have been both with princess ( diamond new years cruise 05) and Costa (atlantica western carib jan 04)

we have found atlantica somewhat too flashing ( or american style) while diamond more elegant and service somewhat more attentive ( mind you nothing to complain against costa)

 

food very similar on both ships very italian ( even if on the Diamond was arranged more american way) so being italian we felt at home

main difference is in the entertaiment/shows we feel Costa more international due to the various nationality onboard they try to satisfy all pax

 

feel difference can be done by intnerary and pax mixture
