CanadaRob Posted July 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2015 Title may be a bit misleading in that I can ALWAYS do a beach day, but if I'm not a shopper and have already done a couple of beaches here(which I would do again in a heartbeat) What are 3 other things you would do as can't miss items in St Thomas? Ms411 Posted July 19, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2015 What would you like to do? The zip line is non beach. You can do a non beach island tour. You can visit Paradise Point or Coral World. You can do walking tour and take photos.
CanadaRob Posted July 19, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted July 19, 2015 Zip line and Blackbeard castle? Coconuts grill? What's your favourite?
oliviaik Posted July 20, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 20, 2015 Snuba! You can do it at Coral World or you can take the ferry over to St. John and do it at Trunk Bay! We did it at Trunk Bay and it was amazing! I have pictures of it in my vacation video linked in my siggy. Otherwise, there is also the helmet dive at Coral World or you can charter a catamaran or do a mini boat excursion.

CanadaRob Posted July 20, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted July 20, 2015 Blackbeard's Castle is closed; maybe permanently. Since when? What happened? Vandalism/state of disrepair? I guess Snuba would be ok...
Ms411 Posted July 20, 2015 #8 Share Posted July 20, 2015 No reason given for closing. It may have been May1. It was posted online in a few places prior to the closing.
bonvoyagebites Posted July 21, 2015 #9 Share Posted July 21, 2015 We did a daysail trip over to St John with snorkeling the one and only time we were there. It was a lot of fun. http://bonvoyagebites.com/2015/07/carnival-victory-daysail-and-snorkeling-in-st-thomas-st-john-and-st-kitts/
benevempress Posted December 31, 2015 #10 Share Posted December 31, 2015 According to their website, Blackbeard's Castle is open seasonally from October to the 1st of May, and only Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. I think we're going to check it out as it is not too expensive and my two daughters are of an age to still be free!

benevempress Posted February 11, 2016 #13 Share Posted February 11, 2016 (edited) Hi, we won't be in St. Thomas until March 24th so I can't verify yet that it is open. I'm sure I'll need the exercise after all the cruise food, so as long as it isn't raining I plan to walk into town from the ship and check it out. benevempress Posted February 16, 2016 #14 Share Posted February 16, 2016 Now the Blackbeard castle website says Tuesday and Wednesday only. GRR. I'll be there on Thursday, so I guess I'm back to looking for something inexpensive for my family to do.
