I am proposing to my girlfriend on the Carnival Sunshine and I am trying to figure out where to do it. I was thinking the top serenity deck, however, I am not sure if it will be too crowded. This will be around 7:30pm. Will the serenity area be empty by then? Thanks for your advice!

Agreed, I would think it would be fairly cleared out...this would make a beautiful spot for a sunset proposal :D

Good luck !

(you might email or fb John Heald to see about assistance or at least see when the area is lit up for the evening)

How about the steakhouse? You could arrange it beforehand with the staff and have them bring you your "special order" which would be the ring. ;)

Thats a great idea but I have hired a photographer to take pictures of the proposal and the sunset will make a nice backround. We do have reservations for the steakhouse right afterwards though!

  • 2 weeks later...

A friend of mine was proposed to on a carnival ship. Her boyfriend had made arrangements through the staff at carnival and the staff then cleared a spot while other staff found her and escorted her there. Staff member videotaped it for them. She said it was very romantic.

I did my proposal onboard the Miracle, once onboard I managed to step away from my girlfriend at the time and I went straight to photo department, you can schedule a private session with the ships photographer. My time was set for after dinner, she was total clues less. He took us to different location onboard the ship and then he will let you know this is the last shot, so he can get the money shot!!! After the session was over with he took a couple more pictures. About a day later he had all the picture he took. Of course we didn't buy them all. Good luck
