First long cruise

Hello fellow cruisers. My wife and I have just booked the eleven day on Dream in October We have never done a cruise this long. The longest we have done was eight days on the Breeze a couple years ago. What can we expect on the longer cruise? What kind of advice can anyone provide for the longer cruise? Thanks as always for the help and advice.

Don't pack for the entire 11 days, plan to send out a bag or two of laundry. Why schlepp when you don't have to?

 

Since it is a Journeys cruise, I think we are all interested in what makes it different from regular cruises? Is the hype about local food and culture real or just a play for us to book?

 

I'm doing a 21 day B2B in Jan-Feb, so I hope the hype is real.

We are on the Dream in January for 11 days out of NOLA. We did 8 on the Spirit. The only advice is to enjoy the 3 extra days.

hopefully they will have flyons to cover nights with no production show.

 

We now do about half of our cruises as longer ones and love it as long as entertainment is good.

We like the longer cruises. You will have 3 extra days to relax and enjoy your cruise in contrast to your 8 day cruise!

We love the longer cruises. More sea days.....more relaxing!
