We will be doing a 5 night Mariner of the Seas that visit Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Phuket.

Other than doing the ship excursions, could someone please recommend reputable tour companies that you have use or heard from before?

Thank you.

Danny

As you disembark at the port in Penang, there are many enthusiastic taxi drivers willing to take you on a tour. From memory we toured for about 6 hours for around

A$40. Our only disappointment on the day, was the less than luxurious taxi with very intermittent airconditioning (It was a hot day!) So our lessoubn learnt was to check the vehicle before agreeing to the tour/price, but we did have an enjoyable day...

this is what we did while deployed on navy ships. wasn't a bad price for hiring someone for the entire day to take us around.

KL is very easy to get around by Public Transport so Depending what you are looking to do in KL it may be easiest and cheapest to take the ship transfer to the city and find your own way around. We were given a good city map on the bus.

If you like to walk Penang is very compact and walkable (flat) from the wharf. We wandered around for a few hours then went back to the ship for lunch then wandered again. As you come off the ship there is a tourist info office on the street that runs to the right, grab a map there.
