Indigestion

Although I'm hoping that I won't need to use it, I intend to take a large bottle of Gaviscon indigestion medicine with (other brands are available! ). Would this be okay to pack in my suitcase or will the fact that it is liquid cause a delay in getting my case back?

It's possible it may cause delay if it's a large bottle. You can avoid this by packing it in your carry on luggage.

I'd carry that in hand luggage too. It's a genuine medicine so there shouldn't be any problem at all. ( hope you don't need it too)

If it contains more than 100mls and you are flying, you may have trouble getting it through airport security. Id rather take the risk of my case being delayed on the ship

Don't worry gaviscons fine. My dh was diagnosed with gastritis before our cruise onExplorer I had two large bottles of gaviscon in my hand luggage as well as a few boxes of the gaviscon sachets in fact I was a walking chemist shop. We didn't need any but it's better to be prepared lol.

Unless Royal Caribbean is picking up the checked luggage from the belt at the airport, the poster should be able to retrieve the bottle from the checked bag before turning it in at the port and put it in his carry-on.

When it comes to medication in liquid form, if it is over 100ml, you must declare it when going through TSA.

I have issues with occasional indigestion and I will start take the over the counter version of Prilosec a week before the cruise so that when I am on the ship, I have no issues.

I put all liquid questionable items in my carry on. Contact lens solution etc.

You might want to check out plexus for indigestion. It worked for a friend of mine who had severe IBS and another friend that had colitis.

Just a thought.
