Help me pick a cabin on Pride!

Those extended balconies as you noted are over the lifeboats, but are also in the recessed parts of the ship. So if you like to look down, left or right, there will never be a direct line to the water or the ends of the ship. And this May not matter to you.

But any extra room is always a plus. It not a lot of extra, but it is not enough not to have to squeeze around things. The furniture is the same.

It's funny you say this because I am one to whom this matters a great deal. I love standing on the balcony, my chin resting on my hands which are folded on the railing, looking straight down to the ocean. I have stood like that for a very, very long time.

Hence, on Spirit class ships we always book Verandah deck, regular balcony, mid-ship.

That was my original thought, before picking the extended, fore, 5th deck balcony. We want to be able to look straight down to the water also.

You could do this as well on the deck 5 extended balcony cabins.
