Does anybody know why the Breakaway just left Bermuda 2 hours early. Just curious. Saw it on the PTZ webcam.

No but I did just see another post about it. Didn't realize they had changed the departure time.

Not sure if anyone missed but did see a couple of runners get back to the ship at 3.00pm and the gangway was pulled in right after they boarded

Just as the ship was well away from the dock and moving out to make a 180 three women arrived. It did look like they missed the ship. I watched as the ship was well out of the harbor and saw no smaller craft heading out to catch the Breakaway.

I have been on that cruise twice. Loved it. I would be mad if I lost 2 hours of port time. Actually, I'm a little upset with a lot of NCL's new policies that seem to be taking away from the customer and costing them more.

This change was made last week when I was on the breakaway. It was handed to us in a flyer at check in, in the daily, on the announcements and a sign leaving the ship on Friday saying to be back by 2:30!

An email was sent to us last week that the ship was sailing at 3:00 instead of 5:00. Also, they sent a flyer to our room as well when my husband and I boarded the ship in NYC on July 26th. The gossip on the ship was that the time was changed to save on money. But other than those rumors, I have no clue why it changed.

 

We did see a few of pier runners. :eek:

Allegedly it's that they're being asked to navigate the channel more slowly with the Dawn having run aground.

Someone on my upcoming roll call mentioned this to us a few weeks ago. He noticed that all NCL sailings to Bermuda were arriving an hour later and leaving two hours earlier. :mad:

 

A few years ago we arrived at the pier in NYC and prior to getting in line the agent checked our boarding passes/passports and handed us a flyer stating we were not going to dock in the Bahamas since we were a day late on leaving. I only wished they would have skipped the private island I/o Bahamas. A few days into that trip a woman said to me she couldn't wait until we reached the Bahamas. It killed me to inform her that were weren't going there. She and her mother took the cruise so they could scatter her siter's ashes in the Bahamas.

 

I ALWAYS make sure we am back to the ship 2-3 hours before pulling out.

Now I will have to change that to 3-4 hours. lol

 

Does anyone know people who have missed a ship and what they did?
