St Paul Girl Posted August 3, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 3, 2015 Hi Everyone: Looking for some direction concerning our upcoming cruise on The Pacific Princess around Tahiti. We have sailed before with Princess to Alaska(5 years ago) and 2 years ago with Celebrity to Bermuda. We don't cruise that often, unless the destination is best serviced by cruising, like Alaska and Bermuda. We found Princess to have better dinning in the Main Dinning room and Celebrity had much better specialty dinning. We are "foodies" but are not that critical as long as the service is there and the meals are prepared properly. Question: Do we do Chef's Table, Sabitinis and Sterling's on the Pacific Princess or go with the Main Dinning room? The additional cost does not matter. Thank you very much for all of your great feedback: Happy Cruising.
cheeseclan Posted August 4, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2015 My husband and son said that Sterling was much better on Pacific than Crown Grill on other ships. As far as Sabatinis it was okay on the Pacific, not great.
Colo Cruiser Posted August 4, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 4, 2015 Do them all then see which you like the best. :)
cnd crsr Posted August 4, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 4, 2015 Do the Chef's Table. Excellent food.
dorisis Posted August 4, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 4, 2015 Do try all of them. And realize that even the same restaurant can be different on different ships,
BosoxI Posted August 4, 2015 #6 Share Posted August 4, 2015 The trouble with the Chef's Table on a small ship is that it does get a bit cramped in the galley. We did it on the PP with Princess' head chef at the time. But compared to the Chef's table on a large ship, it was not as desirable. The food was fine, the tour wasn't. But as you don't cruise often and money isn't a consideration, do it anyway. You'll enjoy it, no doubt.
