Urgently need advice. Just found out I'm sailing solo with my 5 and 2 year old

I think you may need a notarized letter from the absent parent (if listed on BC) giving you permission to take the children outside of the country.

In this case it was the mother that was not going, and Mothers are usually listed on BC's!!;)

We have sailed with our 3 year old before and 4 year old twins. We find it sooooo much easier to sit in the Main Dining Room for all of our meals. Yes we did do breakfast room service. The buffet is just a nightmare and exhausting with kids. I do not recommend it.

I took an iPad loaded with favorite movies and games. Yes do what you have to and don't worry about being judged. iPads weren't around when some of those "judgers" were young or when they had kids ;) I do recommend headphones so you are not disturbing others.

Another option is to have them fed at the kids club....I don't particularly like this because I am a control freak and like to know how much food my children have eaten.
