beachfanatic Posted August 10, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2015 Does anyone have any information on why Celebrity doesn't go to Mexico?
WestLakeGirl Posted August 10, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2015 Not enough ships in their fleet Make more money elsewhere Traditionally rough Pacific seas Tourists nervous about crime in some ports Sometimes poor weather on first and last days Any combination of the above you chose
Rare Cruise Raider Posted August 10, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 10, 2015 I agree with WestLakeGirl on why they won't do any Mexican Riviera cruises but I am not at all happy about it. If we didn't have to split our time between Princess, Royal and Celebrity, we'd be Zenith by now....alas, not going to get there as we hate to fly. BEAV Posted August 10, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 10, 2015 As a Californian I'd love to see more of Celebrity on the West Coast, but I agree with the other posters on the reasons we don't. It's all about the money, and they can make more money elsewhere. Some think Celebrity should be here as some sort of "community service". But they're a business and I understand why they're not. maggie.1008 Posted August 10, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 10, 2015 Would cruise more on X if there was more out of the West Coast. Have had to go on Princess and others. I would also be Zenith by now.
patty1955 Posted August 10, 2015 #6 Share Posted August 10, 2015 After the poor sales for the Sept. 4th cruise, I don't expect anything to change regarding west coast cruises. I've never seen so many available cabins this close to embarkation.
BEAV Posted August 10, 2015 #7 Share Posted August 10, 2015 After the poor sales for the Sept. 4th cruise, I don't expect anything to change regarding west coast cruises. I've never seen so many available cabins this close to embarkation. I've seen balcony prices go from the $1700's down to an $849 resident rate on this particular sailing.
