You shouldn't have an issue at either port.

If worried and want to eat on land, you can always grab familiar food at Senor Frogs in Nassau or at Margaritaville in GT. Like American cities, there are good and bad places everywhere. The Filipino place near the port in Nassau is usually pretty good, but I wouldn't eat at other places along the main drag. Not that the food is tainted, just that it's terrible renditions of good Bahamian food. Many cruisers opt to head to Arwak City for conch in Nassau. In GT Barefoot Cantina and jack's Shack along the beach near the cruise complex have good food. In Cockburntown the Sandbar is excellent.
