Recommendations for long term parking at La Guardia

Hello everyone - we are leaving from Brooklyn to Fort Lauderdale on the Regal in October and since our plan is to park our car at LGA, we are wondering about the following:

1) Do you have any recommendations for safe long term airport parking

2) What would be the approx. cab fare from LGA to Red Hook? 35$ plus tip?

We already thought about parking at the cruise terminal but it makes more sense to park at the airport since when we will be arriving back there and we will want to hop in the car asap rather than taking a taxi back to the port.

Thanks in advance for all your help!

Official on airport parking LGA are the most expensive in metro NYC area, it's more of a commuter lot & it's often cheaper to take a taxi or car service - and, leave one's vehicle in the driveway, or, "bribe" a neighbor or friend to drop off :D - unless one is only gone for 3 to 5 days, or less.

This showed the AAA (CAA) discounted rate - with taxes, come to about $20 daily (vs. $30 daily for PANYNJ's lot rates) *** Also, has the 2015 rates for EWR and JFK

Dollar Rent A Car also provides off-airport parking using their lots, off 94th Street on the other side of the Grand Central Parkway, at similar rates but feedbacks has not been good - so, YMMV.

As far as safe urban parking (at airport or elsewhere, besides door dings & bumper contacts, etc.) - that's difficult to define, common sense should prevail - keep valuables out of sight or better yet, don't bring it along or keep it for the cruise ... Put those GPS/smarphone mounts away, store the cables & it should be fine, IMO.
