pauleydm Posted August 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2015 I will be going to Barbados in September. Are there craft markets in Barbados that sell items made by local artists? Wood carvings, sculptures and original artwork. I am not looking for items made in other countries and shipped and sold in typical tourist souvenir shops. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
aimodels Posted August 18, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2015 Pelican Village is about 500 yards south of the traffic circle at the south port gates. On the left side of the highway. Cheers, P:)
KatPem Posted August 19, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 19, 2015 In April we walked to the boatyard from the port. On the walk, we walked thru a small park and there was an artist that had a table set up. Original water colors 5x7 were $20 and prints were$6. He is an amazing artist, his name is Albert Barnwell. Rare Keith1010 Posted August 25, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 25, 2015 If you walk out of the port and make a left and stay on the left hand side you will come to the Pelican Craft Centre. It's about a five minute walk after you exit the entrance/exit to the port. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Zngw8Mbasw0/VUI4AL0AsGI/AAAAAAAAvBE/Cvu3-kLvwqE/s1600/IMG_4592.jpg Keith
