Deck 14 on Harmony covered balconies?

Will the balconies on deck 14 of the Harmony be covered or exposed?

Would deck 12 be better for cover?

how loud is the kids splash zone above?

Thanks

I would not expect the cover to be much different on deck 12 vs deck 14. However, I would prefer a deck other than 14 so as minimize noise from the pool deck directly above.

Agree with Bob. If you look at the deck plans the balconies where the ship "humps" are bigger as with Oasis or Allure. But under the hot tubs might be more shady. However you really don't want to be under pool decks if you can avoid it due to noise potential. Deck 12 would be a better choice.

On the flip side...we are probably in the minority. We deliberately choose a balcony right under the pool deck. We like the over-hang..(shade) .

As far as noise, we honestly never had a problem with it, but in all fairness we are heavy sleepers and it takes a lot to wake us. We are not in our cabins during the day other than to shower and get ready for dinner.

Another reason we like this particular deck, is we only have one flight of stairs to walk up instead of waiting for an elevator. We also pick a cabin near the stairs/elevator.

To each his own. Everyone is different with different preferences. :)

With the exception of the water slide on Harmony, Deck 15 is the same on all Oasis class ships. Having had the misfortune to be in a cabin on deck 14 directly under the pool/whirlpools, never again. The noise and pool aromas (chlorine) made our cruise experience much less satisfying than any other of the dozens we have taken. If these do not bother you, the overhang is a nice sun shade.
