Rare ladylemondrop Posted August 27, 2015 Author #76 Share Posted August 27, 2015 There were two other ships in port - Costa ship and an Azamara ship - queues for cable car were the longest I can remember which is why we walked down....

About to sail eclipse and don't want to be the only one!!! There is such a mix of formal and less formal it really is up to the individual - you can only go in the main dining in tux or suit and tie - but you can dine in the speciality restaurants and be smart casual

Rare ladylemondrop Posted August 29, 2015 Author #92 Share Posted August 29, 2015 Thanks for all the info! Is the music just as loud at the solarium pool? Is it easy to find seating at the pools? The solarium pool is very quiet and there is plenty of seating - in fact there is plenty of seating everywhere we have noticed it is not an issue getting a spot to be near the pools. Someone also remarked that the pool area has plenty of shade available too which is nice.

No sorry we have not seen that, we bought a travel clothes line with us - I also brought an over shower caddy for all the toiletries and it has been really useful! Rare ladylemondrop Posted August 29, 2015 Author #99 Share Posted August 29, 2015 We had lunch at The Porch! Finally! [emoji2] My overall thoughts are that it is the perfect cuisine to serve in that location, the breezy sea-side setting makes it ideal for seafood (much more interesting than paninis in my opinion) the cover charge is reasonable too ($25 +$5 for Seafood Tower) as the food offered was quite substantial, very delicious, and all presented beautifully. Here are some photos - We chose an assortment of appetisers, I had blackened Mahi Mahi tacos (yummy) the Shrimp cocktail was also amazing... Mahi Mahi Tacos Shrimp cocktail Delicious bread and dipping butter mmmm Lobster Bisque - just like in Muranos (tasty) Avocado salad with cesar dressing Modules mariniere - really good! Branzino - a lot like sea bass and crispy heaven Drum roll please......... The Seafood Tower!! (Not exactly a tower but my husband said it was really really good) scallops, prawns, mussels... Desserts were ok - Plenty of wines by the glass in classic - Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay etc. (Not that I had wine - me?! Nooooo..) All in all a wonderfully relaxed enjoyable couple of hours! Highly recommend and congrats to Celebrity for this new idea.
themutis Posted August 29, 2015 #100 Share Posted August 29, 2015 Thanks for the posts Louise! The Porch food looks really great. Noticed on the Drink Menu that they have a "Grass is Greener" cocktail. Any idea what is in this? Thanks again for posting while on vacation, I know it's not an easy think to do.
