For those of you have done the above land cruise, I have 3 questions.

1. What is the ETA for Seward?

2. Since we do not leave until 8PM, is the dinner for that night open seating (as it is for most other lines I've been on) or, if one as traditional seating, is in effect that evening?

3. Is there any special event typically planned from this port for sail-away?

We didn't do that particular itinerary, but on our cruise/tour we arrived in Seward around 11:30/12:00. Had an excursion booked there, then boarded the ship around 6:00.

 

Don't know about the open seating thing, we just went to the buffet, because we were late for our seating (we had early). I don't think HAL does the Open Seating (like Princess) when in port late. They already have an Open Seating choice, as well as the fixed (we had fixed).

We did a double denali in july

 

We arrived in seward about 4:30. The life boat drill was about 7:30. We had assigned seating at 8 pm and we were able to get to the MDR with no problem.

 

There was nothing special about the Seward sailaway.
