Wasted trip?

I’m not really impressed with the excursions for Belize. I’m a beach person and the only decent beach is a long boat ride. We had a bad experience with an extremely rocky boat ride last cruise so we don’t want to do that again.

I’m thinking of not doing a Belize excursion. We’ll probably just get off the boat and shop around for a couple hours. Is it a total wasted trip if I don’t do an excursion?

You can also take a taxi to Old Belize/Cucumber Beach. It's in a manmade lagoon near a marina. Not a pristine white sandy beach but it is a beach.

The Wet Lizard is sort of a fun bar within the secured port area. :D

We did the shop and back to the ship tour on our last trip. We had the waterslide all to ourselves. If I went down it once I went 20 times. I may be in my 60's but I can have fun at a funeral.:D

 

This was our fourth trip to Belize so it wasn't like we were missing anything.
