My pleasure. The Oasis is worth the 14 month wait. Enjoy.

And have fun in NYC. If you need any tips, pointers or suggestions just let me know.

Not as sad as me!:(

It was a pleasure spending some time with you two.:) Hope we can do it again some time.

Same here Bob. I would love to jump on that 863-day Explorer cruise that you are going on.

And tell Kevin that he needs to be a little more cautious when wearing a white shirt and drinking a glass of red wine (at least if I'm within 800 yards of him).

Great review! Love your humor. I know you had a wonderful trip. I wish I had caught more of your scopes throughout the week.

Thanks so much for the reVIEWS. And for introducing me to Periscope.

Any chance your scopes are stored anywhere on the InterWebs for some "RE-views"

.....?

Thanks! I think people periscoping on cruises will be the new normal so we should have a lot to look forward to.

I didn't save my scopes because of the few people on CC that freaked out and threatened to throw my phone overboard. :)

Alright, enough chit-chat, Bob, time to get back to work answering questions! Thanks, Villain, It was great seeing the cruise through your eyes.

Haha. I hope you are planning on doing a review after your upcoming Freedom cruise.

Yorkvillian, I caught your weather report this morning. I am glad to know my weather forecast here is not the same as Delray. It would be a mess to clean up all those men.

As for the dancers, those ladies sure looked like they were having fun. Perhaps a bit too much fun for 9pm. I wonder what they were doing at midnight.

Watch out roast beef sandwiches, the Yorkvillain is coming to get you.:p

Andrew, Courtney read my entire review while we waited for our flight home on Saturday. The one line (and only line) of the entire review that she laughed out loud about was your line highlighted above. I guess my dumb humor doesn't make her laugh anymore.

Thanks for the review, LOVED the photos and commentary. My wife kept asking me "What's so funny?" We leave on a Freedom cruise 3 weeks from today (not that I'm counting) and your review has me looking forward to it more than before (if that's possible).

I had to check out your previous reviews (who knew Ron Howard wore a salami sling) since I couldn't get enough of this one.

Glad you had a great time.

George

Haha, thanks! Have fun on the Freedom. I miss that ship and can't wait to go back on it one day soon.

I loved your live scopes from Oasis Tim not to mention the daily review too. I am missing my 3 times a day periscope reports. My work, and whatever real important task I was up to are now getting more attention. What scan app/program did you use to copy the compasses with? I need to get it for my iPhone. I would guess that you used photo bucket to post it.

I am glad to hear Courtney had a laugh as well. Don't feel bad though, my humour doesn't work on Lisa as effectively as in the past.

I used the DocScan app on my ipad. It worked really well. First you open the app, take a picture of the Cruise Compass, re-size it, fix the edges, fix the lighting and then save. Then I saved it to my photos on my ipad and then uploaded it to photobucket.

It sounds like a lot but it really only took me a few minutes each morning.

Alright, it’s time to end this deplorable thread with some random nonsense.

THOUGHTS, NOTES, OBSERVATIONS

- Our room was a little on the warm side. Our rooms on our previous Oasis cruises were all comfortable however this one was one of the warmest that we can remember. I’m not sure why.

- Despite the warm room, the refrigerator worked pretty well and kept my bottles of water cold.

- I can’t complain about anything we ate except the lobster tail.

- Our 2 dinners at Chops, 1 dinner at Giovanni’s Table & 1 dinner at Solarium Bistro were all very good.

- There were plenty of pool chairs available as long as you didn’t mind walking up to deck 16.

- The staff was wonderful and friendly as always. I can’t say the same about the passengers.

- The comedians in the comedy club were funny but I thought the ones the last time (Nov. 2014) were much better.

- Once again we never received our Crown & Anchor welcome aboard gift. This happens to us a lot. Oh well, not a big deal but I would like those two extra bottles of water.

- We had a great time despite the fact that we never did some of our favorite things including: breakfast on balcony, breakfast at Johnny Rockets, breakfast at Wipeout Cafe, I didn’t gamble in the casino for the first time ever, I didn’t go on the Flowrider nor did we ever go to Vintages, Blaze, Sabor, Champagne Bar.

- We had a great time at Coki Beach the last two times we were there however next time we are in St. Thomas we are going to check out St. John. Coki Beach was a little too crowded this time.

- Next time we go to St. Maarten we are 1000% going back to Holland House.

- Next time we go to Nassau we are 1000% staying on the ship.

- We’ve enjoyed our 5 cruises on the Oasis class however we really miss the Voyager and Freedom class ships. I need to book those ships next.

- With that being said, we still love the Oasis class and plan on doing the Harmony in 2017 or 2018.

- I have a newfound respect for anyone that has ever done a “Live” review. I think next time I will bring my laptop. For some reason EVERY time I copied a photo link in photobucket on my iPad, it would freeze up and I would have to exit the app and then open it up again.

- The DocScan app on my iPad worked great to scan the Cruise Compasses each day.

- Periscoping is so easy to do.

- The wifi was amazing. I never thought I would see the day where cruise ship wifi would be as good as the wifi I have at home.

Next up for us is the brand new Norwegian Escape in February. I’m very curious to see if I end up loving NCL’s newest and largest ship. Don’t worry Mr. Bayley, we will be back for good after this brief hiatus.

Thanks for following along and listening to me babble.
