For those who have been there and have the knowledge - please can you tell me if it is open on Sundays and does all the public transport run on Sundays from Barcelona to Montserrat? Thanks.

I don't have first hand knowledge but am planning the same. If you are interested the boys choir performs at 12 on Sunday's and not 13 as they do during the week.

Was there yesterday. Transportation no problem. It was very crowded and folks trying to get in to hear the choir were very pushy. I was worried about the cable car but it was enjoyable.

I am doing Montserrat on my own. I think there is another ticket besides the Tot, which includes the lunch. Can someone give me the name of that ticket? I believe it is purchased at placa Catalunya. Also, what is the cost?

I believe the Tot includes lunch and the Trans doesn't. You can purchase either at the station Espanya. It is pretty clear how to use the machines and folks in maroon vest are there to help. I think you can also purchase tickets at the tourist station in Catalunya.
