Theroxykitten Posted September 7, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2015 I'm gauging opinion here. Has anyone had a good experience with UK guest services? I find them incredibly slow to respond to email and when I call they're unhelpful, almost incredulous that you've called. I was enquiring about cabanas in GSC and got told to book his My NCL, when I said this wasn't available, was told to book on board. The phone was practically thrown down. Do I Pursue it further? Are they right, and I book on board? Or should I phone the U.S.? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Rare Huntingdon1701 Posted September 7, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 7, 2015 I find them variable. My first e-mail was answered very thoroughly within a few hours. A second one has taken more than a week and a half.
old nutter Posted September 7, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 7, 2015 I have to admit thatI have always forund them very good in the past. However, they were hung out to dry in a really big way by Miami during the cancelled cruise fiasco so maybe they are still recovering from that. Jack_Tar Posted September 7, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 7, 2015 I am still lucky that my contract with the phone company allows free calls to Europe and the USA. Don't like the 0845 numbers, so I've only called the States and always had good service from them.
mjkacmom Posted September 7, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 7, 2015 When is your cruise? They might be sold out already.
SwissLe Posted September 7, 2015 #6 Share Posted September 7, 2015 I've had mixed findings, like customer service roulette. I wanted to add another 11 day cruise onto my current one and stay in the same cabin for the duration. Both cruises had availability in the category but the guy on the phone thought I was asking to part the water. I terminated the call and got through to a lady who processed it all in a couple of clicks, including debiting another few thousand euro from my card. nomad098 Posted September 7, 2015 #8 Share Posted September 7, 2015 We have had a varied experience with them but generally good. I think it really comes down to who you talk to. First time excellent service as we had to change cruise dates and posted on cruise critic how good it was:) I then booked a couple of weeks ago online and the system changed my booking date luckily I was on the phone with NCL at the time. The person on the other end was positive I had made a mistake and the system was infallible. She agreed to cancel the booking and refund still waiting mind two weeks on. I phoned and got a different agent and asked them to book the cabins we wanted I told her about the problem with the dates and the system so she double checked and sure enough the system had changed the dates again, everything sorted now :D Try and find the PCC of the month on the ncl website usually lists their direct dial number and they generally have a really good idea what they are talking about

FreestyleNovice Posted September 8, 2015 #10 Share Posted September 8, 2015 I've read that NCL UK moved from London to Southampton and not every employee wanted to relocate..
