Dawn Princess when refurbished??????

I was on the Dawn in 1998 twice when she was new. She was a beautiful ship then!!!!

 

Has she ever been refurbished since then, and how does she look now?

I was on the Dawn in December and she is in excellent condition. In fact, I think that she has been better maintained than her sister the Sun. The Sun was refurbished in 2002.

Just got off the Dawn on Sunday and found her in great condition. Saw no signs of age at all.

The Dawn was refurbished near 2001, it looks like yesterday. The quality of the fittings are thus that they last many years. I could see large sections of carpet that were not faded and must of been laid recently. I had a stain in the center of my stateroom and there was a knock and a smiling attendant used a steam vac. and sucked the stain right up. The Dawn has a very long useful life ahead.

 

I went SCUBA diving with the senior accounting officer, and told him the ship was ageing very gracefully.

Glad to hear that she is still in great shape, I'm planning on a cruise for a small group of friends and some have never been on a cruise before so wanted to make sure she was still beautiful......

A couple of weeks ago we noted the carpeting was pulling loose in several places and the sheer drape in our room had snags and the hem was pulling out. Other than those minor things the Dawn looked great.
