GMRPHRN Posted September 15, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2015 So I see that the FTF is again available for my Oct sailing on the Glory. Here is the problem: 1) We are flying in on the day of (I know, I know, but this is not the time or thread to get into that.) and probably won't get to port that early anyway - plus checking in at airport. 2) Carnival looks like they will charge me for both cabins - one adult in each -and not let me pay for only one cabin. So is FTF worth it just to get an early tender to HMC? Is there any other advantage, really?
mayesq Posted September 15, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2015 The only other advantage (to me, anyway) is not waiting in the huge guest services line if you have an issue or question. Also, you get priority debarkation if that means anything to you.
peekinglemer Posted September 15, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 15, 2015 There is a good chance that it is already sold out again so you may have your question answered for you. The go FAST!
skrufy Posted September 15, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 15, 2015 Iunless you plan to be the first person to go ashore then I would say no.
ATL_Miami_Cruiser Posted September 15, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 15, 2015 Getting to use the priority guest service line, priority phone line and disembarking early are all worth it. You should be able to purchase for one cabin, it's booked like an excursion where you get to choose who's included. I usually book 3 cabins and I've always had the option to choose which cabins I wanted to include and exclude.
angiegal Posted September 16, 2015 #6 Share Posted September 16, 2015 I snagged a FTTF today for our November sailing but only because we are bringing our toddler. Being able to drop off his stuff and have as place for a quick nap if he needs it is well worth $60 to me!
PortSideCruzan Posted September 16, 2015 #7 Share Posted September 16, 2015 Hi GMRPHRN :) In regards to FTTF being worth it or not is a very individual decision. One must evaluate (all of) the benefits of FTTF to see if it will be beneficial to you personally, the people cruising with you & your sailing. FTTF Benefits: 1) Priority security, check-in and express Boarding 2) Access to your stateroom when you board 3) Express luggage delivery to your stateroom 4) A dedicated (4-digit phone line) & (priority line) at guest services 5) Priority dinner reservations 6) Priority tender (Escorted from guest services to next tender) 7) Debarkation 'Choices' (Early) 'OR' (Late) Disembarkation Detailed FTTF info & benefits located @: https://www.goccl.com/~/media/Files/Irman/bookccl/shipboard_knowledge/FastertotheFunPackage.htm Have a wonderful voyage! :)

gtouch Posted September 16, 2015 #9 Share Posted September 16, 2015 It's up to you if it's worth it. For me and my wife it is an easy decision as it is very cheap for what we get. For others the cost is too much for them to justify to them the dollars is more valuable than their time for us our time is more valuable. Both are valid you decide. lizardhowson Posted September 16, 2015 #10 Share Posted September 16, 2015 If you really have to ask us to make a decision only you can make, why bother ! I buy it for the reasons already given in this thread. Some others condemn paying extra for FTTF perks but see nothing wrong with paying for fancier food in the MDR or Steakhouse, buying photos or artwork at exorbitant prices, paying for fancy coffee and pastry selections, plying themselves with large quantities of alcoholic beverages. Just like the other "extras" available, if it will enhance your cruise experience, buy it. If not, don't.
Havingfun2010 Posted September 16, 2015 #11 Share Posted September 16, 2015 Unless you like paying for items that are "free" than no. This program is only to generate a revenue stream for Carnival without needing to provide any service that has a cost associated with it. Other words, free money for Carnival and you get bragging rights that you scored paying for free stuff.

Better service!

Tips are an assumed part of a price of service. That is why "tipped" people make less than those that don't get tipped. Tips are part of their pay. FTTF is part of the particular cruise bottom line of profit. It does not go for better service, because the individual that help you does not see it. FTTF = profit with no expense. (100% profit).
